MOSCOW, Jul 14 (PRIME) – The national projects and state programs would help Russia reach U.N.’s sustainable development goals that are in harmony with the tasks of the country’s social and economic policy, a representative of the Economic Development Ministry told PRIME late on Monday.
On Tuesday, Economic Development Minister Maxim Reshetnikov is to present Russia’s first voluntary national review of achievements of sustainable development goals to the U.N.
“Russia’s strategic guidelines of long-term social and economic development are in harmony with the sustainable development goals -- they are about the well-being of our people, their higher standard of living,” the representative said.
“The measures of national projects, state programs, and sectorial strategies help achievement of sustainable development goals. In this sense, we can say that all 12 national projects are the main instrument for implementation of sustainable development goals.”
